Visited Thai Chef yesterday. The restaurant is pretty small, but the FOOD--OMG, delicious! My husband and I had shrimp Pad Thai, he had Tum Yum soup, and we shared spring rolls and curry potato empanadas. The curry empanadas were so flavorful--OMG. We also had the fresh limeade. Looking forward to visiting again!

I can definitely see why this place has great reviews! You will be blown away by the aesthetic of the restaurant! The decorations are so colorful and distinct like every item was handpicked to create a beautiful atmosphere. I didn't have reservations when I went on a Saturday night around 7 PM so the restaurant was very crowded and there was a line almost out the door to get a table. However, the host was able to seat about four parties in less than a 10 minute wait. I was very impressed. They bring you water in a old alcohol bottle which I thought was a little entertaining. Food came in a good amount of time and the portion size was huge! You can definitely share one plate of food if you are not a very hungry person or if you like smaller portion sizes. I can't wait to come back here.

I visited Thai Chef Street Food with friends for lunch. I ordered the crab fried rice, which was so big I couldn't finish it. The food overall was good and I thought, for the portion sizes, was very reasonably priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute as well, with lots of seating available. The food came out very quick and the service was also good. I would come here for lunch again!

I recently visited Thai Chef Street Food in DC, and it was fantastic. The DUI Pad Thai with chicken was a standout with perfectly cooked noodles and a balanced sauce. The Crab Rangoon appetizer was also excellent, with crispy wonton wrappers and a creamy filling. The restaurant's charming atmosphere and quick, friendly service made for a great Tuesday night dinner. The prices are reasonable for the quality and flavors. If you're craving Thai food in DC, definitely check this place out.
